The essentials of OD

The event will be held in Wokefield Park, Nr. Reading, RG7 3JH on 28 April 2010

CRF has been committed since its inception to boost the OD knowledge and abilities within its member companies. This workshop provides an intensive summary of critical knowledge areas, learning through participative exercises, and a workbook packed with useful insights into OD.

Who is it for?

This is an introductory one day workshop for those unable to attend the two-day workshop Understanding theWorld of OD in March 2009. If you wish to attend our more advanced workshop in 2010 (and were NOT at the 2009 event), this is an essential preliminary course.

Content

Before the workshop, preparatory reading will be supplied so that participants are able to make effective use of the workshop ingredients. The principal areas the workshop will cover include:

• Definitions and theories of OD, including its relationship with HR and change management
• Diagnosis - reviewing diagnostic models, and the role of data in interventions
• Interventions - design principles, deploying OD principles and methods, and exercises
• ‘Self as instrument' - overview about why ‘self ' is a key part of OD practice.

The workbook supplied to participants is an important bonus feature, as it condenses much of the valuable elements of OD literature into a single package.
